Anna Weatherley’s One-of-a-Kind Couture Collection Now Available for Wholesale

In the 1970s, Anna Weatherley established her exclusive design studio in Washington, D.C., where she became known for creating exquisite, one-of-a-kind silk chiffon dresses. Her designs weres sold at top luxury retailers such as Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, Lord & Taylor, and Elizabeth Arden. For years, Washington’s most prominent women turned to Anna for her unique designs—especially for high-profile embassy events and cocktail parties where exclusivity was very important. Because each dress was entirely one-of-a-kind, her clientele were assured they would never encounter someone wearing the same dresses at embassy events and cocktail parties.

Anna’s studio was located on Virginia Avenue near the historic Watergate complex. In the late 1990s, Anna was approached by real estate developers interested in purchasing her building where the salon was located. With little notice, she closed her business. Her entire couture archive—over 300 handcrafted dresses—was carefully packed into boxes and placed in storage, where they have remained untouched for decades.

Now, after many years, Anna Weatherley has made the decision to release this rare collection for the first time. She is currently seeking wholesalers and boutique buyers interested in acquiring these timeless, original pieces.
